About Us
Building Faith in Action
Where Faith and Community Come Together to Build.
Mission
For more than 30 years, Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity has turned compassion into concrete results—helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance across every town in Goodhue County.
Through partnership, prayer, passion, and persistence, we help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance that comes with owning a safe, affordable home.
What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a countywide movement of volunteers, donors, and partner families working side by side to create lasting change.
Rooted in Goodhue County. Connected to a Global Mission.
Vision
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity is part of a worldwide movement that believes everyone deserves a decent place to live.
As one of more than 1,000 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the United States, we operate as an independent nonprofit while sharing a common mission and vision with Habitat for Humanity International.
Since 1993, we’ve been helping families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership — building 56 homes, completing more than 35 critical repairs, and serving over 90 families across Goodhue County.
Serving Families Across Goodhue County
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity serves the entire county — from our river towns to our rural farmlands — helping families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
We build and repair homes in: Red Wing, Cannon Falls, Goodhue, Kenyon, Wanamingo, Zumbrota, Pine Island, Lake City, Bellechester, Dennison, and communities throughout Goodhue County — including smaller townships and unincorporated areas where affordable housing options are limited.
Every build, every partnership, and every volunteer hour brings us closer to a future where everyone in Goodhue County has a safe, decent place to call home.
Our Local Story
It all began with a small group of faithful volunteers and local leaders who believed that when neighbors help neighbors, everyone benefits. What started as one home build in Red Wing has grown into a countywide movement that brings together volunteers, donors, schools, and partner families to create lasting change.
That same spirit continues today through innovative efforts like our Build for Tomorrow student construction program and the HOPE Heights neighborhood in Red Wing — ensuring future generations have a safe, affordable place to call home.
For more than 30 years, Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity has brought people together to build homes, communities, and lasting change across our county.
