Acrotech Build Day

Written by Joe White – Board Member

Acrotech employees recently participated in a Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity Build Day on April 30, combining team building with an opportunity to give back to the community.

The volunteer effort was organized by Acrotech employee and Habitat for Humanity board member Joe White, who recruited a six-person Acrotech team for the project. White expressed appreciation to Acrotech owner Andy Oliver for supporting the effort by providing employees with a paid day of leave to volunteer.

Working alongside site construction manager Bob Bidon and members of the Lake City GO 2 Team, Peter Coyle and Tim Busch, the Acrotech crew assisted with final site preparations before foundation forms were filled with concrete.

“It was a great experience for everyone involved,” said White. “Several employees even expressed interest in future volunteer opportunities.”

White encourages other local businesses and organizations to consider participating in a Habitat workday as a meaningful team-building opportunity that also benefits the community.
