He Came for One Day

What began as a single day of volunteering became a 15-year commitment for Russ. After retiring, he stepped up even more—now volunteering 8–10 hours each week as a Construction Lead for Habitat’s Red Wing Go-To Team.
With more than 1,000 volunteer hours, Russ helps turn plans into homes and neighbors into community.

Hope Has a New Address!

Anne & Tabbathia are among the newest Habitat homeowners in Red Wing. After putting in many hours of sweat equity and partnering with local volunteers, friends, family, “and our Red Wing Go 2 Team, they’ve moved into a place of their own.
Their story is proof: Habitat homes are built and purchased, not given away. Families work alongside neighbors and buy their homes with an affordable mortgage, creating strength and stability for the future.
Building More Than a House, Building Hope

Naomi is one of our newest homeowners in Kenyon, MN. Her home is one of two student-build homes completed in 2025. Over 3,000 hours from Kenyon-Wanamingo high school students, 1,800 hours from Rochester volunteers, plus support from local volunteers, her family, friends—and our staff—helped make this home possible.
