Empowering Youth,
Building Communities
The Impact of Youth Workforce Development and Specialized Skills Training
Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH) has always been committed to creating safe, affordable housing solutions for families in need within our community.
We are thrilled to introduce our new Build for Tomorrow Initiative, in partnership with local high schools; the Goodhue Wildcats and Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights, not only addresses the pressing need for affordable housing but also invests in the future of our youth through specialized skills training.
We are confident this initiative exemplifies our commitment as the impact of these projects is already rippling through our community, promising benefits for generations to come.
Building Skills and Futures
By working alongside experienced instructors and skilled tradespeople, students learn not just the technical aspects of construction, but also critical life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership qualities that pave the way for successful careers.
The Ripple Effect
Trained workers are essential to meeting the ongoing demand for affordable housing, and our projects directly address this need. Moreover, the homes built through these programs provide safe, stable environments for families, enhancing their quality of life and fostering a sense of community.
Community Support
and Engagement
Our work is made possible through the generous support of our community, sponsors, and partners.
Contributions to these projects not only support affordable housing initiatives but also qualify for a state tax credit, making it a win-win for donors and our community.
