Power Local Projects with Thrivent Action Teams

At Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity, we believe that building homes is about more than just constructing physical structures—it's about creating strong communities and empowering families to thrive. Thrivent, a financial services organization that shares our commitment to community and generosity, has a unique program that allows you, as a Thrivent member, to make a tangible difference through Thrivent Action Teams.

What Are Thrivent Action Teams?

Thrivent Action Teams give Thrivent clients the opportunity to lead a service project, fundraising initiative, or educational event in their community. By applying for a Thrivent Action Team, you can receive up to $250 in seed money and resources to help get your project started. Whether it's organizing a school supply drive, leading a Habitat build day, or hosting a fundraising event for our mission, your team’s efforts can bring real, positive change to Goodhue County.

By partnering with us at Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity, your Thrivent Action Team can support affordable housing initiatives and help local families achieve homeownership. With your help, we can build more than homes—we can build hope and stability for generations to come.

Why Your Support Matters

Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to continue our work of building affordable homes. With rising housing costs, many families in our community are struggling to find safe, affordable housing. By organizing a Thrivent Action Team, you can help us meet this critical need and bring us closer to our goal of empowering families through homeownership.

Thrivent Action Teams are a perfect way to put your faith and values into action, and your efforts directly contribute to creating lasting change in our community. Plus, as a Thrivent member, you have access to the financial tools and support needed to make your generosity go even further.

How to Get Involved & Make a Difference Today

By supporting Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity through this program, you’re not only helping build homes—you’re building a brighter future for families in need!

Visit the Thrivent Action Team page to apply today or reach out to us at Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity for ideas on how your team can make an impact on specific local projects.

Here are four easy steps to lead a project and support GCHFH:

  1. Apply to Lead a Project: If you’re a Thrivent member, log in to your Thrivent account and complete the Thrivent Action Team application. You can apply on behalf of Habitat for Humanity to support one of our ongoing or upcoming projects, like our Spring Has Sprung Annual Fundraiser or the HOPE Heights development.

  2. Receive Your Action Kit: Once your project is approved, Thrivent will send you a toolkit that includes resources to help make your event a success, along with $250 in seed money to fund your initiative.

  3. Rally Your Team: Invite your friends, family, coworkers, or church group to join your Thrivent Action Team. Together, you can raise awareness, build homes, or host fundraising events to benefit local families seeking affordable homeownership.

  4. Share Your Success: After your project is completed, share the impact of your work with Thrivent and with us at Habitat. We love hearing stories of how our community comes together to create positive change!

Together, we can transform lives and communities, one home at a time.
